Alpe de Siusi, Italy

After longing to explore Europe's mountains for years, I finally had the opportunity during an 8-week trip across Slovenia, Croatia, Italy, and Austria. The highlight, undoubtedly, was exploring Italy's Dolomites.

I arrived in Venice, rented a car and drove to the mountains. Early the next morning, I woke up for sunrise and set out into an unknown landscape. I couldn't have planned it better. I'd chosen this composition and simply waited for the sun. It was good luck, not good planning, that it hit the gap between these two peaks.
