Erupting Volcanoes + Andes Sunsets
It's great revisiting this memory and seeing this image printed in the @tinyatlasquarterly book that's just launched.
The story behind this is based on fortunate timing. Our photography workshop group had just arrived at our guest house near the Colca Canyon, so @brendanvanson and I improvised a sunset shoot nearby. We knew we would have some great foreground wheat fields and a pretty epic volcano in the distance, but we didn't expect any colour in the cloudless sky. Luckily, the volcano erupted - as it does with some frequency - and caught the last rays of light before blue hour arrived. #mytinyatlas
