It's the Faroe Island's most iconic photograph, but I still found it difficult to believe. This location is simply stunning.

One of the most stunning sections of road we drove in the Faroe Islands. It seemed every curve revealed an incredible landscape. Bonus points if you understand the name reference.

This small village was a last minute addition to our photography workshop, but it turned into one of my favourite locations. The dramatic coastline is quite the place to call home.

Faroe Islands Character

As Conor and I discussed while photographing the Faroe Islands, some landmarks are just blessed with beautiful character. This island is something else. Rumour has it that waves crash over the centre of the island during harsh winter storms.

Best Seat in the House

Zoe Timmers has a favourite rock and it's located high above a fjord in the Faroe Islands.

Sharing the View

Undoubtedly one of the best views in the Faroe Islands, it's also one of the easiest to reach. This epic viewpoint is just a 20 minute walk from the car.

I always find myself on the edge, sticking my feet out into oblivion and just hanging on.

Faroe Islands Falling

We photographed this waterfall, which is among the largest in the country, twice. It was incredible how much the waterflow changed over 48hrs. Rainfall brings the water crashing down, but a single dry day leaves just a trickle.

House Goals

Perhaps the home with the best view in the Faroe Islands. While photographing this dramatic sunset, I received numerous texts from participants that had decided to stay at the hotel. They wanted to know what we were photographing in such awful light. I told them it was incredible and they didn't believe me. Once we began the 15 minute drive back to the hotel, I understood. The entire island, minus this coastline, was blanketed in thick fog.

Puffin Pals

Millions of puffins, puffins for me. After two cancelatiosn due to high winds, we finally made it to Mykines Island to photograph the puffin colony.

Gjogv Connection

The wild weather continued throughout our stay in the Faroe Island, but we embraced it. Gjogv was the perfect stop along the coast.

Little House on the Bay

Saksun used to be home to a protected bay; however, a large storm changed the landscape when it blocked the harbour from the sea. Today, only small boats can access the area during high tide.

Take Flight

Huffin and puffin and trying to take off. Exploring Mykines was incredible, with thousands of puffins covering the island.
